Welcome, friends. My name is Justine. (Well, if I had been given any choice at all in my birth name, Justine would have been a strong contender.) In reality, much like the book I am writing, I am a figment of someone’s imagination. But don’t worry; while my name isn’t actually real, the person behind me is.
As I begin writing Ride Up a Storm, the first novel in the Storm Riders of Pinefalls series, I will be opening the doors to the world behind the world. Where did Pinefalls come from? And what about their neighbor, Eventhor? And just what is going on with that one kingdom with militant aspirations and a need to conquer?

The storm riders have a few things in common: they have a relative from the kingdom of Pinefalls, they are bonded to a horse, and they have the power to summon, dismiss, and otherwise call storms.
Their power is rare, and in a land prone to drought, floods, and catastrophic blizzards, they are the heart and soul of their mountainous home with verdant valley meadows.
I hope you will join me on my adventure into Pinefalls with the men and women who will shape their world for better and for worse.
On my blog, you will find a bunch of fun things from books I’ve read and enjoyed recently (all genres), photography from my own adventures in our world, recipes the characters may be eating, and the plants and animals of the Pinefalls world and how they differ from our own.
As a sidenote, all the plants and animal species are based on equivalent Earth species with a twist. Horses, cats, dogs, cattle, and similar beasts will share the Earth names, but plants and other animals, especially ones with more significant modifications, will have names of their own despite their similarities.
This website will be home to the glossary of all plants, animals, and recipes for your enjoyment!
I hope you have a wonderful day. Welcome to Pinefalls.
